Summer education resources
Safety education resources for children and young people are available on StayWise.co.uk (external website). Teachers and educators are encouraged to register on StayWise to access and deliver a variety of exciting videos, presentations and games, which support the curriculum.
Firefighters deliver engaging and interactive summer safety sessions to primary schools, while GMFRS Outreach Officers provide targeted presentations to secondary schools and pupil referral units, focusing on water safety, anti-social behaviour and the prevention of grass/moorland fires.
GMFRS delivery staff use the bespoke 'lesson bundle' that is available to registered users on StayWise (search 'GMFRS Summer Resources for Primary and Secondary' on StayWise), or other StayWise resources appropriate to the topic and age group.
