GMFRS Swimming Section is open to all members of the Sports and Welfare Association. The section attends national swimming competitions supported by Firesport UK and further details can be obtained through the FireSport UK website (external website).

Breaking News: GMFRS Crowned National Champions at this years event!

This year's championships were held Saturday, 16 August.

GMFRS has made a splash on the national stage, emerging as the Overall National Team Swimming Champions 2025 at this year’s Fire and Rescue Services National Swimming Championships!

Competing against 10 Fire and Rescue Services across 28 individual events and eight relay events, the GMFRS team showcased exceptional talent, teamwork, and determination, securing an amazing 58 medals, including 21 golds, and clinching both the Masters and Open titles.
