Online book of condolence for Watch Manager Alister Lee

An online book of condolence has been opened following the death of Watch Manager Alister Lee.

Alister was a much-loved member of the GMFRS family and served the communities of Greater Manchester for more than 27 years. He was based at Cheadle Community Fire Station on Green Watch and over the years also worked at Moss Side, Stockport, Stretford and Altrincham fire stations.

Our thoughts remain with Alister’s partner, children, and all his family and friends at this terribly sad time.

Group Manager and Family Liaison Officer Pat Johnson, who served with Alister at Moss Side between 1998 and 2001, said: “Alister was an incredibly well-respected officer who will be deeply missed by friends and colleagues. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Amy, the children, and all Alister’s family at this terribly sad time.”

Friends, colleagues and members of the public are invited to share a message on the online book of condolence below.

When sending your condolences you will be asked to submit your name and any message you would like to share to remember Alister. Please be advised when sharing your condolences via this forum, your full name and comments will not be made available to others, but will be collated and shared with Alister’s family.

All information we will process will be provided by you for the purposes of the online condolences book.

The online condolences page will remain open until after Alister’s funeral, following which the information will be retained for a further 10 days prior to being shared with his family and securely deleted by the GMCA.
