Online book of condolence for ACFO Steve Morgan

The online book of condolence is now closed. Thank you for sharing your messages and memories of Steve. These will be shared with Steve's family. 

An online book of condolence has been opened following the sad news of the death of GMFRS’ Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) Steve Morgan.

Steve, who was Director of Service Development at GMFRS, sadly passed away on Wednesday 15 December, aged 49.

He joined GMFRS in April 2021 after previously serving at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for more than 20 years.

Steve was a hardworking firefighter who was dedicated to protecting the public he served. He will be greatly missed by everyone at GMFRS and our thoughts are with Steve’s family and friends at this difficult time.

Friends, colleagues and members of the public are invited to share a message on the online book of condolence below.

When sending your condolences you will be asked to submit your name and any message you would like to share to remember Steve. Please be advised when sharing your condolences via this forum, your full name and comments will not be made available to others, but will be collated and shared with Steve’s family.

All information we will process will be provided by you for the purposes of the online condolences book.

The online condolences page will remain open for a period of 14 days, following which the information will be retained for a further 10 days prior to being shared with Steve’s family and securely deleted by the GMCA.
