Kitchen fire – Bury
AT 5.48pm on Tuesday, February 20, three fire engines from Bury, Whitefield and Heywood attended a fire involving the kitchen of a semi-detached house in Ferngrove, Bury.
On arrival, crew found the fire to have been caused by a grill pan that had been left in the oven.
Firefighters dealt with the fire using a dry powder extinguisher and a hose reel and remained at the scene for around 35 minutes.

Supermarket fire – Bury
AT 8.46pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, three pumps from Whitefield, Broughton and Agecroft attended a fire involving an electrical substation near to a supermarket in Pilkington Way, Radcliffe.
The store was evacuated while firefighters dealt with the incident and worked with partners from Electricity North West to bring it under control.
Crew were in attendance for around four hours.
