Washing machine fire
AT 8.27pm on Monday, February 26, 2018, three fire engines from Sale, Altrincham and Stretford attended a fire involving a ground floor flat in Newbury Avenue, Sale.
On arrival, crew found the fire to be involving a washing machine in the kitchen of the property and brought it under control with two breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
Firefighters cleared smoke from the flat with a positive pressure fan and were on the scene for around an hour.
Derelict building fire
AT 9.35pm on Monday, February 26, 2018, three fire engines from Blackley, Agecroft and Whitefield attended a fire involving a two storey derelict industrial building in Bowker Bank Park, Manchester.
Firefighters used two hose reels and four breathing apparatus to tackle the fire and utilised a thermal imaging camera to check the building for pockets of fire.
Crew remained on scene for around two hours.
Fryer fire - Manchester
AT 11.21pm on Monday, February 26, 2018, three fire engines from Philips Park and Manchester Central were mobilised to a fire involving a deep fat fryer at a takeaway shop in Ashton New Road, Manchester.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and dry powder and foam extinguishers to tackle the fire and utilised a thermal imaging camera to check the building for any hot spots.
Firefighters were on the scene for around 75 minutes.
