Between 5.30pm February 5 and 8am February 6 Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service attended 43 incidents.
Shipping container - Irlam
At 4.48am, two fire engines from Eccles and Irlam attended a fire in Liverpool Road, Irlam. On arrival crews found a fire involving two shipping containers.
Firefighters used two hose reels and a nine metre ladder to put out the fire. Crews were in attendance for one and a half hours.
Flat fire - Wigan
At 2.47am on Tuesday, February 6, four fire engines from Wigan, Hindley, Atherton along with a command support unit from Hyde attended a flat fire in Linney Square, Wigan.
Firefighters rescued one male adult from the flat and he was then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
Four crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and a positive pressure fan to extinguish the fire.
Over a nine hour period, crews from Bolton, Leigh and Lancashire FRS also attended the incident to provide relief.
Firefighters are still at the incident checking for hotspots and an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
