Vehicle fire – Manchester
AT 6.50pm on August 29, three fire engines from Gorton and Philips Park were mobilised to reports of a vehicle fire in the grounds of a disused commercial premises in Louisa Street, Manchester.
Firefighters dealt with the fire using one hose reel and one breathing apparatus and were at the scene for around 25 minutes.
Road traffic collision – Trafford
AT 5.50am, one fire engine from Irlam attended a RTC in Dunham Road, Warburton. The incident involved a motorcyclist who had hit a tree and become trapped.
Crew used a DeWalt saw and a hearth kit to rescue the trapped casualty from beneath the tree.
The casualty was transferred to hospital by NWAS colleagues and firefighters remained at the scene for around one hour.
