RTC – Bolton
AT 12.49pm on June 3, 2017, two fire engines from Bolton Central were joined by the Major Rescue Unit and Technical Response Unit from Leigh to reports of a road traffic collision in Blairmore Drive, Bolton.
Firefighters rescued a man from under a Ford Transit van using stability and hydraulic equipment and a long board.
The casualty was then transferred to hospital by air ambulance. Crews remained at the scene for around two hours.
Flat fire - Bolton
AT 3.32pm on June 3, four fire engines from Bolton Central, Bolton North and Farnworth were joined by a Command Support Unit and support appliance from Hyde at a flat fire in Derby Street, Bolton.
The fire involved the basement, first and second floors of a terraced property that had been developed into flats.
Firefighters used six breathing apparatus and two hose reels to tackle the fire and one casualty was led to safety down a short extension ladder from an upstairs bedroom of an adjacent flat.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and crews were in attendance for around two and a half hours.
