Between 8am and 5.30pm on Thursday, November 23, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to 33 incidents.

Below are details of some of the incidents dealt with by our firefighters today.

 

Road traffic collision, Bolton

At 1.25pm GMFRS received a call regarding a collision between two cars on Crescent Road, Bolton.

Two engines from Bolton attended and firefighters rescued two women before they received care from ambulance crews.

We were on site for approximately 45 minutes.


Outhouse fire, Bolton

At 3pm three fire engines from Bolton and Horwich attended reports of a fire at an end-terrace domestic property on Crosby Road, Bolton.

On scene the fire was discovered inside an outhouse – crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were on scene for one hour and 35 minutes.

 

Commercial fire, Trafford Park

As of 5.30pm, firefighters are currently tackling a fire at a recycling plant on Nash Road, Trafford Park.

Two fire engines from Eccles and Stretford were called to the scene at 4.28pm. The fire involves a quantity of waste paper in a single storey warehouse.

Crews are using four breathing apparatus, two jets, two positive pressure ventilation fans and thermal imaging cameras to tackle the fire.
