Between 8:30am and 5.30pm on Thursday, August 24, GMFRS attended 33 incidents across Greater Manchester. Read about a chip pan fire we attended below.
Chip pan fire - Wigan
AT 2:38pm on Thursday, August 24, two crews from Wigan and Skelmersdale attended a chip pan fire at a domestic property in Bridgewater Streets, Wigan.
Firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using one extinguisher and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by a fire service trauma technician.
Crews were on the scene for thirty six minutes.
