We attended 31 incidents today between 08:00 and 17:30:

Kitchen fire - Eccles

At 11:09 on February 9 three fire engines from Salford and Irlam were mobilised to a fire at a house on Lime Street in Eccles. The fire involved the kitchen of an end terraced property. Firefighters using two hosereels, four breathing apparatus, a short extension ladder and a positive pressure ventilation fan extinguished the fire and were in attendance for an hour.

Car crash - Mossley

At 11:49 on February 9 two fire engines from Stalybrige and Hollins and a Technical Response Unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne attended a road traffic collision on Manchester Road in Mossley. The incident involved two vehicles and two casualties were treated on scene by fire service trauma technicians. In total five casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance. The scene was made safe by the fire service using. Crews were in attendance for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.

Rescue of person - Stockport

At 13:13 on February 9 fire engines from Stockport and Whitehill and a Technical Response Unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne attended an incident on Aberdeen Crescent in Edgeley, Stockport. The incident involved a casualty who had fallen within scaffolding. The casualty was rescued by firefighters using rope access equipment and a 13.5 metre ladder. Crews were in attendance for an hour and a half.

Kitchen fire - Bolton

At 13:42 on February 9 three fire engines from Farnworth, Atherton and Agecroft attended a fire at a house on Greenhead Walk in Bolton. The fire involved the kitchen of domestic property. Firefighters extinguished the fire using breaking in gear, a hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan. Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
