Commercial building fire – Manchester
AT 8.16pm on Friday, December 1, four crews from Manchester Central, Moss Side and Gorton along with an aerial platform from Whitehill and the technical response unit, major rescue unit and the special response unit from Ashton were called to a fire at a commercial building on Brunswick Street, Manchester.
Firefighters used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus, specialist tools, a thermal imaging camera and a specialist fan to extinguish the fire, and were on the scene for approximately three hours.
Commercial building fire – Ashton
THREE cress from Ashton, Hollins and Stalybridge were called to a fire at a commercial building on Manchester Road, Ashton, at 9.26pm on Friday, December 1.
On arrival crews found machinery on fire and used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus, a ladder, a thermal imaging camera and specialist tools to extinguish it.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately one hour and ten minutes.
