Between 5.30pm on Thursday, May 4, and 8.30am on Friday, May 5, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service received 163 calls and attended 62 incidents.

Commercial fire – Oldham
AT 6.17pm on Thursday, May 4, three crews from Oldham and Hollins were called to a fire at a building on Tanners Fold, Oldham.
On arrival crews found the timber cladding of the building on fire and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, specialist tools and a fan to extinguish it.
Firefighters were in attendance for 55 minutes.
Kitchen fire – Manchester
THREE crews from Philips Park and Manchester Central were called to a fire at a terraced house on Hopwood Street, Manchester, at 7.58pm on Thursday, May 4.
On arrival crews found a kitchen on fire and used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish it and used a fan to clear smoke from the property.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately 50 minutes.
Outbuilding fire – Sale
AT 11.31pm on Thursday, May 4, two crews from Sale and Altrincham attended a fire on Haydock Avenue, Sale.
On arrival crews found a fire involving the outbuildings of a terraced house and used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish it.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
Firefighters were on the scene for an hour and 40 minutes.
