Huddersfield Road fire - Denshaw, Oldham

FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire on the moors on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 3.14pm, close to Huddersfield Road.

At the height of the fire four engines were in attendance at the incident, with firefighters using beaters to tackle the fire.

One fire engine is in attendance at this incident with firefighters 'damping down' and using beaters to put out remaining spots of fire.

The fire at this location is now out and GMFRS will carry out inspections on a regular basis as a precautionary measure.
