GMFRS nominated for digital innovation award

A digital project to help Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) firefighters effectively respond to incidents has been nominated for an iNetwork Award. The project developed a new app to help firefighters access up to date operational guidance on their phones whilst attending an incident.

The idea started with one of our firefighters and colleagues from our IT team worked with them to develop the Flashcard app.

The Flashcard app has now been nominated for an iNetwork Award. These awards cast a light on projects and teams that have delivered transformation and excellence in public service delivery.
