Domestic property fire - Bury Road, Radcliffe

Firefighters are working hard to tackle a blaze on Bury Road in Radcliffe this morning (Sunday 12 January 2020).

Crews were called at 4:37am to a fire involving the roof of an empty detached domestic property which is under renovation.

At its peak, four fire engines and two aerial appliances were attendance, with firefighters tackling the blaze from above using an aerial appliance and a hydraulic platform.

Operations have now scaled back, with two fire engines and an aerial appliance currently at the scene.

Local residents are being asked to keep their windows and doors shut.
