This will be the first annual delivery report and we are immensely proud of the progress we have made in bringing the commitments in our Fire Plan to life.

At the heart of the service is our fantastic team of staff and volunteers, who go above and beyond to make a difference.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the pressures and demands have been significant. Our workforce successfully adapted to the challenge, adopting new ways of working to deliver vital services to our communities.

We've made huge strides to develop a culture of excellence, equality, and inclusivity, and become a service that better reflects the public we serve. Our most recent inspection by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) confirmed we are an evolving and improving service with inspectors reporting a positive shift in the leadership and culture of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).

We will continue to work with HMICFRS to implement further improvements to deliver our statutory core functions extraordinarily well and create an increasingly outward facing fire and rescue service.
