Traineeships are an education and training programme to help those aged 16 to 24 to develop skills and experience required by employers.
Our 12 week programme:
- Provides a focused 6-8 week placement with an employer
- Supports you to achieve a Level 2 qualification in maths and/or English with a college provider, delivered on our premises
- Provides career profiling and employability skills with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
- Provides access to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service apprenticeship vacancies
The experience and skills you gain through a traineeship can be valuable additions to your CV and this could help when you apply for jobs or apprenticeships.
Completing work experience through this scheme could also give you valuable feedback and a reference from an employer - and even a potential job or apprenticeship with the organisation offering the placement.
Many employers have a minimum requirement for a Level 2 certificate in English and/or maths and the Traineeship programme can support you to achieve this.
