The Section continues to grow
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu section held another session recently and more new members joined in. Ben Seeley stated "we are looking to increase the section and welcome more new members, whether you're already taking part at a club or new to the sport all are very welcome to be part of the club".

Over the last 12 months the BJJ Section has gone from strength to strength. I have no doubt we will see even greater progress over the next year.
- We have 79 members in the group, and I estimate over 50 have attended one of our weekly training sessions. We are getting new starters most weeks now.
- We have just moved our training to the Central Performance centre in Stockport having trained at Streford fire station for most of the year. This gives us improved facilities and easy access from the M60 for all GMFRS personnel.
- We have given out GMFRS club patches for those committed to training as a reward for their hard work. We are currently in the process of getting some T shirts made.
- We are in contact with other UK FRS BJJ groups on a WhatsApp group and are looking at our first national meeting.
- The committee members are looking at our first competition very soon.
- We are very lucky to have 3 Blackbelts teaching at the club.
