GMFRS is supporting Hate Crime Awareness Week, which runs from today (Monday) until Sunday, February 14.

The week of activities aims to raise awareness of hate crime, how it affects victims and how we can support people to report incidents.
Hate crime occurs against race, religion, transgender identity, sexuality, disability and alternative subcultures.
Our Manchester Borough community team will be at the Challenging Hate Forum, being hosted at Manchester Cathedral on Friday, February 2016, when Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd will speak about the issue.
People can support the week on social media by including the hashtag #endhatecrime in any tweets and following Greater Manchester Police’s twitter account at: @gmpolice, where events will be posted.
Hate crime reporting centres have been set up – these are non-police venues where you can report incidents. Visit here for more information.
