RTC – Rochdale – January 24, 2017
At 2.24 pm on Tuesday, January 24, two fire engines from Rochdale and Rastrick, in West Yorkshire, along with the technical response unit and major rescue unit from Ashton attended a road traffic collision on the M62 eastbound near junction 21.
On arrival, crews found the incident to be involving one heavy goods vehicle and a minibus.
One adult was trapped at the rear of the minibus and crews used cutting equipment to release the casualty. A total of 16 passengers, all from the minibus, were transferred to hospital by ambulance.
Crews were at the incident for 30 minutes.
