Friday, December 23

House Fire – Manchester

At 7.01pm fire engines from Manchester, Withington, Wythenshawe and Stockport attended a fire in a mid-terraced property on Claremont Grove, Manchester.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, hose reel jet, hearth kit and two pressure fans to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for an hour and 50 minutes.

 

Saturday, December 24

Cooking Fire – Ashton under Lyne

At 2.53pm three fire engines from Hollins, Ashton under Lyne and Stalybridge attended a cooking fire on Lowland Grove, Ashton under Lyne.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for one hour and 30 minutes.

Large Vehicle Fire – M60 Anticlockwise Junction 4 to 3

At 7.34pm three fire engines from Moss Side and Stockport attended a large vehicle fire on the M60.  Firefighters used three hose reels and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately three hours.

Vehicle Fire – Rochdale

At 10.51pm a fire engine from Rochdale attended a vehicle fire on Copenhagen Street, Rochdale.  Firefighters used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes. 

Sunday, December 25

Cooking Fire – Rochdale

At 09.28am fire engines from Rochdale and Heywood attended a cooking fire on Edenfield Road, Rochdale.  One casualty was rescued and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters were in attendance for one hour and 40 minutes.

Cooking Fire – Leigh

At 1.55pm fire engines from Leigh, Atherton and Hindley attended a cooking fire at a house on Warwick Street, Leigh.  Firefighters treated a casualty at the scene.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes.

Cooking Fire – Bolton

At 4.53pm fire engines from Bolton North and Bolton Central attended a cooking fire in a house on Church Road, Bolton.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and pressure fan to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.

Portable Building Fire - Oldham

At 4.56pm fire engines from Oldham attended a fire in a portable building on Crossbank Street, Oldham.  Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour.

Vehicle Fire – Manchester

At 6.17pm a fire engine from Blackley attended a vehicle fire on Chain Road, Manchester. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.

 

Monday, December 26

Shed Fire – Salford

At 1.39pm two fire engines from Salford attended a shed fire on Tootal Drive, Salford.  Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 25 minutes.

Shed and Bin Fire – Bury

At 4.06pm two fire engines from Bury and Whitefield attended a shed and bin fire on Holly Street, Bury.  Firefighters used a hose reel and hearth kit to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes.

Tuesday, December 27

Allotment Shed Fire - Chadderton

At 09.36am fire engines from Chadderton and Oldham attended an allotment shed fire on Fernhurst Street, Chadderton.  Firefighters used a hose reel, short extension ladder and hearth kit to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 50 minutes.

Cooking Fire – Bolton

At 11.45am fire engines from Bolton Central and Farnworth attended a cooking fire at Ainsdale Court, Bolton.  Firefighters treated a casualty at the scene.

Firefighters were in attendance for 20 minutes.

Road Traffic Collision – Denton

At 12.31pm fire engines from Ashton under Lyne and Hyde and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton under Lyne attended a road traffic collision on Oldham Street, Denton.  Firefighters used a tool kit and cutting equipment to release a casualty from a vehicle.  The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.  Police were also in attendance.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour.

Cooking Fire – Rochdale

At 1.42pm two fire engines from Rochdale attended a cooking fire involving a pan of food at a house on Braddocks Close, Rochdale.  Firefighters treated a casualty at the scene.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.

Cooking Fire – Salford

At 2.29pm fire engines from Agecroft, Salford and Manchester Central attended a cooking fire involving a pan of food at a house on Winton Road, Salford.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for 35 minutes.

Road Traffic Collision – Heywood

At 7.19pm fire engines from Heywood, Rochdale, the Technical Response Unit and Major Rescue Unit from Ashton under Lyne attended a two vehicle road traffic collision on Queens Park Road, Heywood.  One casualty was released using breaking in gear, cutting equipment, first aid equipment and a hose reel.

Firefighters were in attendance for just over an hour.

Shed Fire – Bolton

At 11.41pm two fire engines from Bolton Central attended a shed fire on Corby Cloe, Bolton.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for fifty minutes.
