Overnight Incidents between 5.30pm Wednesday, March 22 and 8.30am Thursday, March 23

BETWEEN 5.30pm Wednesday, March 22 and 8.30am Thursday, March 23 Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service received 83 calls and attended 39 incidents.

Here are some of the incidents firefighters attended:

Portable Building Fire - Failsworth

At 5.50pm two fire engines from Hollins and Philips Park were called to a fire in a portable building in Somerset Road, Failsworth.

Firefighters used one jet, one breathing apparatus and a pressure fan to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for one hour.

Road Traffic Collision - Haigh

At 7.02pm a fire engine from Wigan and a fire engine from Horwich were called to a road traffic collision in Meadow Pit Lane, Haigh.

Firefighters used step chocks and cutting gear to release a casualty who was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour.

Road Traffic Collision - Oldham

At 7.50pm two fire engines from Oldham and Hollins along with the Technical Response Unit and Major Incident Unit from Ashton were called to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Chamber Road, Oldham.

One casualty was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.

Firefighters were in attendance for one hour.
