Listed below are some of the notable incidents from yesterday evening and night.
KITCHEN FIRE, PLATT BRIDGE, WIGAN
At 6.32pm crew from Hindley and Wigan were called to a fire in a kitchen of a domestic property. The property in Liverpool Road, Platt Bridge in Wigan involved a pan of food. Firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus used one hose reel and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke. Crews were there for 35 minutes. COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FIRE, NIXON STREET, ROCHDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION, M60
At 7.47pm fire engines from Broughton and Farnworth, along with a technical response unit and a major rescue unit from Leigh were called to a road traffic collision on the M60. On arrival, crew found two people trapped inside a car after a collision with a HGV. Crew used cutting gear to get them from the vehicle. North West Ambulance Service took the casualties to hospital.
COMMERCIAL OVEN FIRE, SALFORD
At 9.02pm fire engines from Manchester Central, Agecroft, Eccles, Broughton and Whitefield attended a fire in a commercial premise in Littleton Road in Salford. The fire involved an oven on the ground floor which had spread to an upstairs flat. Four firefighters using breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and a thermal scanner to check to any remaining hotspots. Crews remained on the scene until 11.40pm. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION, OLDHAM
At 9.49pm fire engines from Moss Side and Salford, as well as the major rescue unit and technical rescue unit from Leigh attended a road traffic collision in Fields New Road at the junction with Denton Lane in Chadderton, Oldham. The incident involved four vehicles and two males were removed from one of the vehicles by firefighters. Crews were on the scene until 23.17pm.
KITCHEN FIRE, WESTON STREET IN BOLTON
At 10.14pm fire engines from Farnworth, Bolton Central and Horwich attended a fire in a kitchen of a domestic property on Weston Street in Bolton. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were on the scene for 45 minutes. The cause of the fire was accidental.
ELECTRIC BLANKET FIRE, MANCHESTER
At 6.57am on Thursday, December 1, 2016, three fire engines were sent to Edgeworth Drive in Manchester, following reports of a fire inside a semi-detached house.
On arrival firefighters found a fire involving a bedroom, and wearing breathing apparatus they used hose reels to bring it under control.
The fire is believed to have started in an electric blanket.
