Cooking fire – Oldham – December 4th, 2017
AT 5.06pm on December 4th, 2017, three pumps from Oldham and Stalybridge attended a cooking fire at a single storey property in Covert Road, Oldham. The incident related to a toaster in the kitchen of the property. Crews treated one female at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Electrical extraction unit fire – Manchester – December 4th, 2017
SHORTLY after 7.30pm on January 4th, 2017, three pumps from Moss Side, Manchester Central and Salford attended a fire involving an electrical extraction unit in a third floor bathroom at a commercial building in Castle Street, Manchester. Crews used portable carbon dioxide fire extinguishers to extinguish the blaze and isolated the electrics. The bathroom suffered considerable damage and firefighters were in attendance for around two hours and thirty minutes.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental due to overheating.
