Road traffic collision – Manchester

THREE crews from Manchester Central and Ashton responded to a road traffic collision in Trinity Way, Manchester, at 8.34pm on Tuesday, January 17.

There was one casualty in the collision, which involved two vehicles. The casualty escaped from the vehicle without the assistance of firefighters but due to suffering from back pain was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Fire crews were in attendance for just under an hour.

 

Kitchen fire – Aspull

AT 9.59pm on Tuesday, January 17, three crews from Horwich and Wigan attended a kitchen fire at a property on St. Mary’s Road, Aspull.

On arrival firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.

Crews were at the property for an hour.
