Between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 15 Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service received 70 calls and attended 50 incidents.
Here are details of some incidents firefighters attended:
Cooking Fire - Westhoughton
At 11.50am fire engines from Leigh, Atherton and Hindley were called to a cooking fire in a mid-terrace house in Washacre, Westhoughton.
Firefighters used two hose reels, four breathing apparatus and a pressure fan to extinguish the fire.
Two casualties were taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour.
Commercial Fire – Bolton
At 12.16pm fire engines from Bolton Central and Bolton North were called to a fire in a commercial spray booth on Gilnow Lane, Bolton.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, pressure fan and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Cooking Fire – Manchester
At 1.47pm fire engines from Whitehill, Gorton and Stockport were called to an electrical stove fire in a flat in Henderson Street, Manchester.
One casualty was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.
