GMFRS received 80 emergency calls from 5pm last night, Wednesday, September 28, to 8.30am this morning, Thursday, September 29. Here are some of the incidents we attended...

Person rescued from bathroom in Heywood: We were called at 6.17pm to Woodfield Terrace, Heywood, where a casualty had become stuck in a bathroom. Firefighters from Rochdale released the casualty and a fire service trauma technician gave first aid. The crew was at the incident for one hour and 15 minutes. 

People led to safety from roof in Salford: At 8.22pm we were called to a building on Boardwalk, Salford. Two people were led to safety from the roof of the premises by crew from Salford and Agecroft, who used a nine-metre ladder. We were at the scene for 15 minutes.

Kitchen fire in Oldham: We were called at 1.29am on Thursday, September 29, to a kitchen fire at a mid-terraced house on Becket Meadows, Oldham. Firefighters from Oldham and Chadderton used four breathing kits, two hose reels and a ventilation fan. One casualty was given oxygen therapy. Crew were at the scene for 40 minutes.
