GMFRS received 107 emergency calls between 5pm last night, Thursday, September 29 and 8am this morning, Friday, September 30. Here is a summary of some of the incidents we have attended.

Building fire in Bolton: We were called at 6.35pm on Thursday, September 29, to a fire involving a shed at a house on Russell Street, Bolton. The fire spread from the shed at the rear of the property to an extension at the property next door. Firefighters from Bolton Central and North used two hose reels and breaking in gear to put the fire out and were at the scene for 40 minutes. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Vehicle fire in Hale: We were called at 1.36am to a vehicle fire on Lilac Road, Hale. Firefighters from Altrincham used one hose reel to put the fire out and were at the scene for 30 minutes. The fire may have been caused by an electrical fault.
