House fire in Hale Barns
At 10:56 on November 10, two fire engines from Wythenshawe and Altrincham and a Cheshire fire engine from Wilmslow were mobilised to a fire at a domestic premises on Carrwood, Hale Barns. Firefighters extinguished the blaze involving a light fitting and wiring in ceiling of a detached dwelling under refurbishment using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a hearth kit. Fire crews were on scene for approximately one hour and fifty minutes.
House Fire in Urmston
At 11:56 on November 10, three fire engines from Stretford, Sale and Eccles fire stations were mobilised to a fire involving a domestic premises on Canterbury Road, Davyhulme, Urmston. Firefighters extinguished the fire involving an electrical fuse box in the semi-detached house by using a dry powder extinguisher and electrical gloves. A post fire safe and well visit was carried out by fire service personnel whilst at the premises. Fire crews were on scene for approximately fifty minutes.
House fire in Bury
At 12:11 on November 10, fire engines from Bury, Heywood and Salford attended reports of a house fire on Ferngrove, Bury. Fire crews found a pan of food left unattended, the fire was out on arrival. Fire crews provided oxygen therapy to three casualties who were then dealt with by the ambulance service. We were detained for fifty minutes and would like to use this as an opportunity to remind people that chip pans are dangerous and we highly recommend switching to safer alternatives.
