Incidents overnight on Wednesday November, 9.

 

ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION

At 19.10 two fire engines from Farnworth and the technical response unit and major rescue unit from Leigh attended a road traffic collision. Two cars were involved in the collision on Cawdor Street in Farnworth, Bolton. Crews extricated one female casualty using specialist equipment. There were four casualties in total, of which one of them was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters were on the scene for 35 minutes.

 

ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION

At 19.57 fire engines from Farnworth and Bolton, along with the technical rescue unit from Leigh attended a road traffic collision on St Peters Way in Bolton. Three vehicles were involved and five casualties were given oxygen therapy by Fire Service personnel and assessed by North West Ambulance Crews. Three causalities were taken to hospital. Crews were on the scene for 90 minutes. The cause of the RTC was one of the vehicles driving down the dual carriage way the wrong way, into oncoming traffic.

 

CHIP PAN FIRE

At 20.20 fire engines from Leigh and Warrington attended a chip pan fire on Newton Road in Lowton. The fire happened in the kitchen of a domestic property. Crews were on the scene for 40 minutes.
