Garage Fire - Farnworth
At 4.41pm on Tuesday (Oct 18) 2016, two fire engines from Farnworth and Bolton Central fire stations were called to a fire on Rutland grove, Farnworth.
Firefighters extinguished the fire involving rubbish in a garage.They used one hose reel and were on scene for approximately 15 minutes.
RTC - Trafford Park, Manchester
At 7.18pm on (Oct 18) fire engines from Stretford, Eccles and Ashton fire stations went to a road traffic collision on the Astra Business Park, Guinness road, Trafford Park, Manchester. Crew stabilised the vehicle and two casualties were rescued with one being taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately sixty minutes.
RTC - M66 Motorway
At 7.46pm on (Oct 18) fire engines from Whitefield, Heywood and Leigh fire stations went to a road traffic collision on the M66 northbound at the junction two slip road. One occupant of the vehicle self-rescued and one was assisted from the vehicle by firefighters. Crew used Stabfast and lighting equipment. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.
House Fire - Manchester
At 11:04pm (Oct 18) two fire engines from Moss Side and one from Withington were sent to a fire in a bathroom of a terraced property on Evelyn Street, Manchester. Firefighters used one hose reel, one jet, two breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire. Crew were in attendance for approximately 50 minutes.
The fire was caused by a lit candle.
