Water rescue – Hyde
At 1.57am on Sunday, March 12, a crew from Hyde, the inshore rescue boat from Heywood and the technical and major rescue units from Ashton were called to a water rescue off Harlton Street, Hyde.
A person had fallen down a steep embankment into a stream and firefighters used rope rescue equipment to rescue the person from the embankment. Ambulance paramedics gave the casualty a precautionary check.
Crews were in attendance for 15 minutes.
Vehicle incident – Sale
Firefighters from Sale came across an incident outside their station in Cranleigh Drive, Sale at 2.05pm on Sunday, March 12.
It involved a woman with steam burns to her face following opening the bonnet of an overheated car. Firefighters applied burns dressings to the casualty and provided advice about vehicle safety.
Crews were detained for around twenty five minutes.
Chimney fire – Tyldesley
At 5.18pm on March 12, firefighters from Farnworth attended a chimney fire in a farm house in Mort Lane, Tyldesley. Crews used one hose reel, a 13.5m ladder, thermal imaging camera and breaking in gear to tackle the fire.
Firefighters were detained for around 90 minutes.
