Road traffic collision – M60 J17-18
At 2.06pm on Monday (Oct 3) two fire engines from Whitefield and Blackley, and a technical response unit and a major rescue unit from Leigh, were called to a road traffic collision on the m60 clockwise junction 17-18.
This was a road traffic collision involving two cards and one person was extricated by firefighters using hydraulic, cutting and stabilising equipment. The casualty was taken to North Manchester Hospital by ambulance. NWAS and police also attended. The rescue was complete by 3.11pm.
Road traffic collision – Chorlton Cum Hardy
At 2.48pm on Monday (Oct 3) two fire engines from Moss Side and Withington were called to a road traffic collision in Kings Road, Chorlton Cum Hardy.
This was a road traffic collision involving two vehicles and firefighters used specialist equipment to extricate two casualties by 3.48pm. NWAS and police also attended and the fire service remained on scene for one hour.
