GMFRS received 60 emergency calls from 8am to 5pm on Monday, September 26, 2016. Here is a summary of some of the incidents we attended:

Road traffic collision in Farnworth: We were called at 2.43pm on Monday, September 26, to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Frederick Street, Farnworth, Bolton. Firefighters from Bolton North, Farnworth and Leigh used a short extension ladder, electrical saw, a hearth kit and stabilisation equipment. One person was removed from a vehicle and crew were at the scene for 30 minutes.

Road accident in Stretford: At 3.35pm we were called to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Barton Road, in Stretford. Crew used a hooligan tool, a hearth kit, one hose reel and trauma bag. Three people had self-rescued before firefighters from Stretford arrived at the scene and were assessed by a fire service trauma technician. Crew were at the scene for 40 minutes.
