Microwave fire - Manchester
At 09:24 on May 18 two fire engines from Gorton and a fire engine from Withington and moss side attended a fire involving a microwave in a third floor flat on Hathersage Road, Manchester. The fire was out on arrival, oxygen therapy administered to one casualty by a fire service trauma technician, a further casualty was assessed but declined any treatment. Crews were on scene for one hour.

Flat fire - Manchester
At 14:50 on May 18 a fire engine from Moss Side, a fire engine from Withington and a fire engine from Manchester Central were called to a fire in a flat in Foxbench Walk in Manchester. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish a fire in the lounge of the property. Fire crews also used lighting equipment and small tools at the incident. Tactical ventilation was also used to clear the smoke from the property. Fire service were in attendance at the incident for just over an hour.
