Kitchen fire in Manchester
At 10:09 on December 1 a fire engine from Eccles, Gorton, Salford, Moss Side and Broughton attended a fire involving a kitchen in a first floor domestic flat in a nine storey building on Lampwick Lane, Manchester. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a positive pressure ventilation unit, a saw, door ram, small tools, cutting gear and salvage sheets to bring the fire under control. Crews remained on scene for two hours and thirty five minutes.
Chip pan fire in Manchester
On December 1 at 15:18 three fire engines from Moss Side, Sale and Salford attended Peveril Crescent, Manchester attended a fire involving chip pan on electric cooker in kitchen of semi-detached property. North West Ambulance Service treated one casualty and firefighters used oxygen therapy and burns dressings. Crews remained on scene one hour.
