Dog rescued by firefighters

GMFRS has received around 80 emergency calls from 8am to 5.30pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

Below are details of one of the incidents attended by firefighters:

Dog rescued in Little Hulton

At 11.40am on Tuesday, October 18, a fire engine was called to Peel Park Crescent in Little Hulton after a dog found itself trapped and in pain.

Nila the Husky got her foot stuck in a grid close to the entrance of Peel Park, resulting in her becoming extremely distressed. 

Farnworth firefighters went to the address, and while Nila’s owner held her still they used cutting equipment to free the dog’s trapped foot.
