Firefighters tackle fire involving television

Borough: Manchester

Incident Date: 30 November 2016

Manchester house fire

At 11.16am on Wednesday, November 30, three fire engines, from Gorton and Manchester Central, were sent to reports of a fire in Victoria Street, Bradford.

On their arrival at the ground-floor flat firefighters discovered a fire involving a television.

Crew wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to tackle the fire, and a positive pressure fan to remove smoke from the property.

The fire is thought to have started due to an electrical fault in the television.

Firefighters were at the incident for around one hour and 30 minutes.
