Borough: Oldham

Incident Date: 18 November 2016

Oldham cooking fire

At 12.17pm on Friday, November 18, three fire engines were sent to reports of a house fire in Lower Lime Road, Oldham.

Firefighters from Oldham, Hollins and Chadderton dealt with the fire, which involved a cooker in the kitchen of the semi-detached house.  Wearing breathing apparatus they used a hose reel to put the fire out.

Crew members were at the incident for around 50 minutes.

The fire is thought to have started accidentally by cooking left unattended.
