Road traffic collision – Stockport
At 9.47am on Tuesday, November 2, two fire engines, from Marple and Offerton, were mobilised to reports of a collision in Torkington Road, Hazel Grove. A technical repose unit from GMFRS also attended the incident.
The incident involved an overturned vehicle and a woman (age unknown) was trapped inside. Firefighters released the woman and she was taken to hospital.
Crew members were at the incident for around 45 minutes.
Road traffic collision – Leigh
On Tuesday, November 1, at 11.01am two engines, from Farnworth and Atherton, were sent to a road traffic collision in Holden Road. A technical response unit also attended the incident.
The collision involved a van and a tree and firefighters released a man (age unknown) from the vehicle using specialist cutting equipment.
Crew members were at the incident for around one hour and 15 minutes.
House fire in Atherton
At 4.36pm today, November 1, firefighters from Atherton, Leigh and Hindley fought a house fire in Hampson Street, Atherton.
Crew members used two breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel. After the fire was extinguished they used a positive pressure fan to clear smoke from the house.
Firefighters were at this incident for approximately 50 minutes.
Kitchen fire in Ashton-Under-Lyne
At 5.01pm on Tuesday, November 1, firefighters from Oldham and Hollins went to a house fire in Dean Terrace, Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Five people had self-rescued prior to our arrival.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus sets and one hose reel.
Crew members were at this incident for approximately 60 minutes.
