Between 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 9 and 8.30am this morning, Wednesday, August 10, North West Fire Control received 85 calls for Greater Manchester.
The most significant incidents from overnight are:
Urmston shed fire
At 8.27pm on Tuesday, August 9, two fire engines, from Stretford and Sale, were called to a shed fire on Sevenoaks Avenue.
Crew members were at the incident for around one hour and used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire which had spread to the back of a semi-detached house.
Carrington disused clubhouse fire
At 11.42pm two engines, from Stretford and Sale, attended a fire involving a disused clubhouse in Ackers Lane.
Firefighters were on scene for around 45 minutes and wearing breathing apparatus they used hose reels to put out the fire. They also used a positive pressure fan to remove smoke from the building.
Tumble dryer fire in Stretford
This morning, Wednesday, August 10, at 1.14am three fire engines attended a fire involving a tumble dryer in the kitchen at a house on Alder Grove.
Crew members were at the address for one hour and wearing breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a positive pressure fan, they put out the fire.
