Building Fire – Altrincham
AT 19.42pm on Tuesday, July 18, three fire engines from Altrincham, Sale and Stretford were called to a building fire in Leys Road, Timperley.
The fire began on the 1st floor of an abandoned building and was thought to have been started deliberately. To put the fire out firefighters used one hose reel, a thermal imaging camera and three short extension ladders.
Firefighters remained on the scene for one hour and ten minutes.
Wednesday, July 19
Building Fire – Manchester
AT 00.17am on Wednesday, July 19, three fire engines from Blackley and Philips Park attended a building fire in Broadwell Drive, Manchester.
The fire was thought to have been started deliberately, and quickly spread through the bins that were stored near the building. To put the fire out firefighters used two hose reels, one jet, two short extension ladders as well as a ventilation fan and thermal imaging camera.
Firefighters remained at the scene for one hour and 10 minutes.
Building Fire – Oldham
AT 1.34am on Wednesday, July 19, two fire engines from Oldham were called to a building fire in Bar Gap Road, Oldham.
On arrival crews found that garages behind the property were well alight and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and breaking in gear to bring the fire under control.
Crews remained at the scene for 40 minutes.
