Overnight in Greater Manchester, firefighters dealt with 76 incidents including two building fires that you can read about here.
Building fire - Manchester
AT 18.34pm on Thursday, August 10, two fire engines from Manchester Central and one from Salford were called to a fire in Park Street, Manchester.
The fire began from timber on the roof of the building, with firefighters using one hose reel to extinguish it.
Crews were in attendance for 25 minutes.
House fire – Stockport
AT 23.53pm on Thursday, August 10, three fire engines from Whitehill, Offerton and Stockport were called to a house fire in Cromley Road, Stockport.
On arrival at the incident crews were met with a strong smell of burning. On further inspection they found the smell was ammonia, which was leaking from a fridge. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a gas detector and a ventilation fan to clear the gas. They removed the fridge from the property.
One casualty was helped from the house suffering from ammonia fumes and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Crews remained at the incident for fifty 50 minutes.
