Flat fire - Salford
AT 6.40pm on June 5, 2017, three fire engines from Salford and Agecroft attended a fire involving a ground floor flat on Joule Close, Salford.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to bring the fire under control before clearing smoke from the flat with a positive pressure fan.
Crews remained at the scene for around one hour.
Derelict pub fire – Manchester
AT 7.01pm on June 5, 2017, three fire engines from Gorton and Philips Park attended a fire at an unoccupied public house in the junction of Cornwall Street and Ogden Lane, Manchester.
There were two areas of fire involving waste material in the ground floor. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
Crews remained at the scene for around four hours and the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
