On arrival the fire was located inside a bedroom, with the probable cause a faulty e-cigarette sparking after having been left on charge.

Fire crews used six breathing apparatus, two hoses and a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.

A 44-year-old man was recovered from the property having sustained a broken leg, with GMFRS on site for just over an hour.
