House fire, Bolton
At 21.34pm three fire engines from Bolton Central and Bolton North fire stations were called to reports of a fire at a semi-detached property on Torrington Avenue, Bolton.
On arrival the fire was located inside a bedroom, with the probable cause a faulty e-cigarette sparking after having been left on charge.
Fire crews used six breathing apparatus, two hoses and a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
A 44-year-old man was recovered from the property having sustained a broken leg, with GMFRS on site for just over an hour.
Fires in the home can be caused by faulty electrical appliances, plugs and cables that are old or poorly wired can be a real danger. Just because there's no flame, doesn't mean there's no fire risk.
