Aircraft incident – Eccles
AT 9.34am on Saturday, September 9, four fire engines from Eccles, Irlam and Stretford, as well as the command support unit and support appliance from Atherton and technical response unit and major response unit's from Leigh were called to a small aircraft incident in Barton Moss Road, Eccles.
On arrival crews assisted casualties away from the plane before they were conveyed to hospital. Firefighters were on the scene for one hour and 15 minutes.
Building fire – Wigan
AT 11.29am on Saturday, September 9, five fire engines responded to a building fire in Market Street, Wigan.
The fire originated in a range cooker at the building and required firefighters to use six breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a jet and a ventilation fan to extinguish it.
Firefighters remained at the incident for six hours and 45 minutes.
Building fire – Eccles
AT 16.26pm on Saturday, September 9, three fire engines from Stretford, Agecroft and Eccles were called to a building fire in Worsley Road, Eccles.
The fire was on the ground floor of the building and was thought to have been started deliberately. On arrival firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained at the incident for 35 minutes.
Road traffic collision – Stockport
AT 17.29pm on Saturday, September 9, two fire engines from Stockport and Offerton as well as a technical response unit and major response unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne were mobilised to a call road traffic collision in Offerton, Stockport.
The collision was involving four cars, with one person trapped in their car. To free the person firefighters used ramp and specialist equipment.
Firefighters remained at the incident for 20 minutes.
Boat fire – Leeds and Liverpool Canal
AT 22.58pm on Saturday, Septmeber 9, two fire engines from Wigan and one from Hindley as well as the boat unit from Wigan were called to a boat fire on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
Firefighters used one hose reel and one jet to extinguish the fire and remained at the incident for 30 minutes.
