BETWEEN 8.30am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, May 10, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called out to 50 incidents.

Flat fire - Oldham
AT 8.55am on Wednesday, May 10, five crews from Hollins, Chadderton, Ashton, Philips Park and Manchester Central were called to a fire at a block of flats on Hawthorn Road, Oldham.
On arrival crews found a fire on the tenth floor and used four breathing apparatus and specialist equipment to extinguish it and a fan to clear smoke from the property.
One casualty was assessed by firefighters for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately three hours.
Road traffic collision – Stockport
TWO crews from Cheadle and Stockport and the technical response unit and the major rescue unit from Ashton were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Demmings Road, Cheadle, at 1.40pm on Wednesday, May 10.
One casualty was rescued from their vehicle using specialist cutting and stabilising equipment.
Firefighters were on the scene for an hour.
Shed fire - Tyldesley
AT 4.16pm on Wednesday, May 10, two crews from Hindley and Farnworth were called to a fire on Glenview Road, Tyldesley.
On arrival crews found a fire involving a shed which had spread to a fence, a mountain bike and the bumper of a car. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters were on the scene for 35 minutes.
