House Fire - Hindley

At 6.17pm fire engines from Hindley, Wigan and Atherton attended a fire in a semi-detached house on Wakes Close, Hindley.  Firefighters used two hose reels, four breathing apparatus and a pressure fan.  Three occupants had self-rescued before firefighters arrived and were taken to hospital.

Firefighters were in attendance for one hour.

Tuesday, November 29 

Flat Fire - Salford

At 04.44am fire engines from Salford, Agecroft, Broughton and Manchester Central attended a flat fire on Kersal Way, Salford.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, safety jets, hearth kit, thermal imaging camera and electrical gloves to extinguish the fire.  One casualty was treated at the scene and three casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately two hours.
